When you reach level 125 in a skill you can still continue playing, but you will gain no more experience points. Instead, free trial accounts are now limited to a maximum level of 125 in all different skills, enabling everyone to sample all aspects of Ryzom and to discover what makes this MMO unique. On Wednesday, March 9 between 09:00 and 11:00 GMT, the servers will be brought down for the implementation of patch 1.11.0. New Patch Ryzom is now FREE TO PLAY and new boss! Paid subscriptions will still be available to access all the game's content while allowing an unlimited free play option. Free accounts will have the limited skill cap along with a limitation in storage. The update will extend to free trial accounts the ability to reach a maximum level of 125 in all different skills. But Ryzom is evolving its payment model once again by returning to free-to-play with update 1.11.0, which is scheduled to deploy on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011. The game has managed to survive a rebranding, its resurrection into the free-to-play market only to return to the subscription model and even later becoming open-source. Ryzom has had a rather eventful existence.
